At PLS Safety the responsibility of keeping others safe is imperative. That’s why our team of confined space rescue technicians is among the best possible standby resources for risk management and emergency response.
Our standby rescue services stem from our roots as a safety training and consulting company. As such, we believe
our role is first and foremost a support mechanism to assist customers in preventing an incident that would require
the need for rescue.
PLS Safety is there when our customers need us - especially when they need us the most.
Our standby team consists of highly trained experts experienced in rescue techniques, including:
confined space operations, rope access, hazmat response, first aid and medical skills.

All of our rescue team members have the following expert credentials:
- Meets or exceeds OSHA and NFPA criteria for confined space rescuers
- Trained to the technician level for confined space and rope rescue
- Hazmat, fall protection and OSHA Outreach trained
- Medically trained (most every PLS Safety rescuer is Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) qualified)
- Real-world experience (military, fire service, EMS and industrial safety)

- Helping customers review confined space work and safety procedures prior to the start of entry operations
- Providingtraining (or retraining) to workers affected by the confined space operations
- Inspecting confined space areas and making recommendations for equipment and entry operations
- Supervising job safety briefings and entry activities
- Performing confined space rescue planning
